- Read John 13:1-5. What is the setting for John 13? Why does this matter? How did Jesus know that his hour had come? What does that mean?
- How did the devil put anything into Judas’ heart? Why do you think he chose Judas? Why did God allow it?
- Knowing this, what did Jesus do? What does it mean when John says that Jesus began to wash his disciples’ feet?
- Read John 13:6-11. Why was Peter resistance to Jesus’ desire to wash his feet? What did Jesus teach him, and the others, in light of Peter’s resistance?
- What’s the most important thing you learned from today’s sermon? From John 13:1-11?
- How has this sermon helped you to grow in love for God and others?
