Agape Meal Next Week: We will be enjoying an Agape Meal after the worship service this morning. Please see the back side of this sheet for more information.

Baptism Class: There will be a class for parents of potential youth who would like to pursue baptism. The first class is scheduled on April 14, 7:00 p.m. at the church office. This class is also open to anyone interested in pursuing baptism.

Student Ministries: Students grade 6-12 are invited to attend Wednesday nights for Bible study, discussion, and activities. Handke, 6:30-8:45 p.m. Contact Pastor Kevin.

Pivot Meeting: The college age (and beyond) ministry meets on alternating Thursday evenings. 7:00 p.m. at Josiah Lee's house. The next meeting is on April 14.

Church Membership Class: Pastor Charlie is currently leading a Sunday School class during the second hour in room 110 on Church Membership.

Wednesday Morning Prayer Meeting: Anyone who would like to join in corporate prayer may do so. The prayer time is 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. at the church office.

This Sunday we resume our study of the book of Revelation and within the first eight verses of chapter 6 we will encounter the wrath of God being poured out upon the world. In one sense, being confronted with the reality of God’s wrath is uncomfortable at best, but in another sense, it fills the believing heart with joy.  One of the first essays I wrote in college was on the wrath and love of God, and probably the main effect it has had on my life is to cause joy to rise up in my heart whenever I contemplate God’s wrath. Sometime ago I shared this with a pastor friend of mine and though he said nothing in response, he looked at me as if to say, “If you knew anything about the wrath of God, you would not rejoice in it.” At the time, I wasn't sure how to respond, but I knew that the joy in my heart was not stemming from a belittling of the horror of the wrath of God.
